OK, so you all know our diaper liners are awesome but did you know that they are made of 100% corn fibers?

Corn? What the stuff that grows in fields?

Well not really, the formal name is PLA which is a polyester type material derived from renewable resources such as corn starch.As it is 100% biodegradable our liners can be flushed away* and can even contribute to your compost pile or worm farm!

It was great to see a CNET’s, Natali Morris, try only cloth diapers for a month and love them!  Yay!

I’m very pleased my wife and I started Real Nappies – it was a struggle at first, like I’m sure most businesses find and there was the odd time when we wondered if we’d done the right thing.  Seven years later we know we did and now sometimes I get so passionate about this diaper business I sometimes think I’m on a mission.

Modern Cloth Diapers work really well and if yours don’t there are usually a few simple steps that you can follow and have your wonderful cloth diapers working for you in no time.  Believe me you will never look back…
1. Washing. 

Make sure you have followed the instructions and washed your diapers the correct amount of times before using them.  This may seem like a laborious task but it is a very necessary one.  It’s a little like using a towel before it has been washed – not very soft and absorbent.  Real Nappies use cotton diapers and we suggest washing them 3 times before use (no need to dry them in-between washes).

Hey, don’t you think the designs on the new Huggies Jeans Diaper are cool (and don’t get me wrong they are cool)!  They will certainly look amazing in your trash can, and will look great in the landfill in 75 – 500 years time.   I hope its worth the extra $6!  But seriously I don’t get it, what is the point in a fancy looking throwaway diaper?
