I’m very pleased my wife and I started Real Nappies – it was a struggle at first, like I’m sure most businesses find and there was the odd time when we wondered if we’d done the right thing.  Seven years later we know we did and now sometimes I get so passionate about this diaper business I sometimes think I’m on a mission.

It was of great interest to me to read the recently printed article in the Wall Street Journal:
‘ Procter & Gamble Co. is scrambling to put out an Internet wildfire over the safety of its new Pampers diapers, a crucial brand that accounts for about 11% of the company’s revenue.Some mothers who blame the reengineered diapers for causing rashes, even “chemical burns,” have started a Facebook page to detail their claims and press P&G to reverse course. The claims quickly gained traction, leading this month to a lawsuit and inquiries by product-safety regulators in the U.S. and Canada.*’

Parents can save cash and carbon at the supermarket checkout

New Zealand parents will be amongst the first in the world to have mainstream supermarket access to modern reusable cloth diapers, thanks to New Zealand company Real Nappies and major national supermarket operator Progressive Enterprises.

From next week consumers will be able to use their wallet power to reduce landfill waste by buying reusable cotton diaper packs from major supermarket chains Foodtown, Woolworths and Countdown throughout New Zealand.
